    Developing Games for the Sight Impaired

    In the 1970s when video games first emerged, it was virtually impossible to create a game that did not involve some sort of visuals. This is mainly due to a lack of technology, as almost all computers, games, and electronic speakers and displays could only output crude, pixilated visuals and rough, synthesized sound. However, technology has steadily improved to the point where games that do not need visuals are a possibility. Games for the visually impaired are an untapped industry, especially with the technology that exists today. By conducting interviews with the visually impaired we discovered what types of games the visual impaired prefer, what they would enjoy to play, and what ideas they have for developing these games

    This project designed and realized the Waterborne Autonomous VEhicle (WAVE), a submersible modular robotic platform to enable research on underwater technologies at WPI at minimal cost. WAVE脗鈥檚 primary design objectives were modularity and expandability while adhering to the regulations for the international competition held by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International.     How neuropsychology is necessary but insufficient for understanding spirituality is explored. Multileveled spiritual requisites are systematically examined in terms of their neuropsychological constituents and limitations. The central problem of integrity is articulated via the modularity of our neuropsychology, and evidence is presented for disunities of self and consciousness. It is argued that the integrity of self or spirit is a contingent achievement rather than a necessary given. Integrating possibilities include belief, emotion, and relationships. Understanding integrity, and the transformations of self-surrender and sacrifice, may require explicitly stepping beyond neuropsychology and including the self in a larger system. 漏 1996 by the Joint Publication Board of Zygpa
